Falade holds an MBA from the University of Warwick, UK and B.Sc. Chemistry from the Nigerian Premier University, University of Ibadan. He is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

The UBA Pensions Custodian Limited, a subsidiary of the United Bank for Africa, has been licensed as one of the three firms that will manage monies collected under the new contributory pension scheme initiated by the federal government last year. The other two firms are Zenith Pensions Custodian Limited, and First Custodian Nigeria Limited, owned by Zenith and First Bank respectively.
